Happy Birthday Grace!

Our Gracie girl turned FOUR on Wednesday, June 6th.

We had pancakes with sprinkles for breakfast . . .
She didn't even mind that Vince did most of the blowing . . . And yes, she is wearing a swim shirt in the morning . . . why? Because she had already had on about 7 different outfits by 7:30 and that just happened to be the one she was in when it was time for breakfast.
And then we got ready to go play at the park!
We asked the Lautenbach and Bosman boys to meet us at Bender with their bikes! We had big hopes of doing the bike trail, but they were more than happy to play on the playground and ride their bikes on the path right by us.

Some pizza for lunch . . .
And donuts for dessert!
It is a rare moment to catch these two holding hands!
Colt and Vince found some bugs to follow around!
Grace has a LOVE for horses lately . . .
Cool presents from the Bosman boys!
There they go!
We opened presents at home . . . Grace got the Doodle Bear she has been wanting since Christmas! And a new sprinkler and baby doll.
Then we headed to Nama and Nampa's for more celebrating! Vince got his birthday present that night too!
What a lucky little girl! A Leap Pad from Nama and Nampa!
And some birthday spankings!
Ice cream cake!
And the birthday song from Captain Zoom!
Grace Addison,

Hard to believe that you are FOUR YEARS OLD. It seems like just yesterday that I went into the hospital, round and swollen, sore and done, ready to finally meet the baby I'd been waiting for. It seemed like the world stopped when you were placed in my arms. All my life my greatest dream was to be a Mama to someone. When you were born, that dream came true. You are still a dream come true, Gracie girl, and the best daughter a Mama could hope for.

Through the years you've developed your very own personality, desires, sense of style, and characteristics that make you the delightful girl you are. You are thoughtful and kind, smart and passionate, articulate and conversational. You love to dress up, draw, be creative and sing and dance. Each day you remind us a little of ourselves, some Daddy, some Mama, but usually we are just impressed with how unique and wonderfully made you are. One minute you make me absolutely crazy with your sassiness. The next minute you make up a song about Jesus, tell a story just so, or kiss Vince gently and sweetly, melting my heart and making me fall deeper in love with you. Four is at times impossible but most times, impossibly wonderful. This motherhood business is hard work, no getting around it.

Sweet girl, happiest of birthdays to you. I pray that you remember this day fondly, feeling loved, admired, cherished and celebrated. You are such a joy in our lives.

Love,
Mom

I know I'll say it every year, but I just can't believe you've changed . . .
