All Comers Track Meet!

When I was 6 or 7 we would go to the All Comers Track Meets at Civic Field a few times during the summer . . . Jen and the boys went a few times last year and we decided to join in this year!

And she's off! She didn't make it very far though before her shoe came off. We had a MAJOR battle about what shoes she would wear before we left and in the end, I let her win. Big, big mistake. She has an adorable pair of pink Nike's that tie, but she would not, not, NOT wear them. She takes after me in so many ways! Ask my Mom how many times I threw fits because my socks weren't on "straight" or my laces weren't tied tight enough or just right.
We tried the 50 yard dash next . . . with the same shoe result.
A few tears but she recovered quickly. And got a ribbon!
