So this morning was our big GOLD MEDAL assembly for the Read-a-Thon . . . it is a huge deal in the community. Dignitaries come to award the medals and shake hands, we dress up, we try to sit still for the hour long ordeal and we celebrate reading! Here are a few pictures from the festivities this morning.

The other big news of the day is getting Mother's Day projects finished and wrapped . . . can I just say how much pressure it is to be the one responsible for coming up with a special, meaningful present for these kiddos to give to one of the most important people in their lives?Looking forward to a more laid back weekend after so many busy ones . . . celebrating Tom & Russ's birthday's tonight at The Nipple (El Nopal), having a yard work party at Grandma Jessie's tomorrow during the day and then dinner their at night for Mother's Day and church on Sunday.
