We walked from Mom's house and saw these "soldiers" at the Middle School when they were lining up . . . Grace immediately started screaming and crying, remembering them from Memorial Day at the cemetery. We all (me, Mom, Uncle Tom) PROMISED her that when they came through in the parade, they wouldn't shoot their guns. They made LIARS out of us! We were dumbfounded when they shot them not once, but TWICE. Of course Grace FREAKED out and watched most of the rest of the parade either in Uncle Tom's arms or with her hands covering her ears.

Getting happier, but still covering her ears . . .

Still covering her ears, but now by Nama . . .

I think she finally started waving when the LAST entry went by . . .
Ready to head down to the park for some f-u-n!
Riding the train . . .

Riding in the horse buggy . . .
Meeting the Panda . . .
Face painting by the cheerleaders . . .

Sno cones!Jen's beautiful Willow House booth . . . click on the link if you want to look at her products or host a party!
Playing on the playground . . .

And finally the bounce house!
It was a fun, fun day in the park. Small town America at its best. Sometimes I dream of living in a big city or somewhere more exotic . . . but I know days like this wouldn't be possible there. We are lucky to live where we do!
