Cousin Maya's 2nd birthday party . . . so much FUN! Her mom Robyn always plans the best parties! Grace got her face painted . . .
And decorated a cupcake . . .

One of those days where it really was too miserable to be outside, but it was even WORSE being cooped up inside!

I wonder how many times I've said this on here . . . we LOVE Birch Bay! Although Vince is at a hard age to be out there . . . the STAIRS call the "littles" name and they don't quite understand why they can't go up and down them like the "bigs".
That night we went to Russ and Angie's for BBQ chicken! It was DELICIOUS!
So glad I have this next picture to mark the day . . . we were just heading out the door to go on a walk to the park when Tom's Mom called and said Grandma DeHoog had passed away. Tom was working in Lynden and headed to his Mom and Dad's right away and the kids and I walked to the park and played, kept on walking to Grandma and Grandpa Larson's and then walked to Tom's Mom and Dad's where everyone had gathered. It was enough time for all the grown ups to get the "grown up" stuff done and by the time we got there, it was a time of celebration. The "bigs" walked all the kids down to the school park to play some more and then we had a pizza party.
Tom finally broke down and got out ALL of his tractors . . . Vince was EXCITED!
Mom and Dad got a new BBQ and Tom helped Dad put it together last Friday night . . . the big box it came in was f-u-n! The kids played fine out in the garage while Dad and Tom put the BBQ together, but Tom said it got really LOUD the few times Mom and I went out there to "check" on them!

When they were all finished, Tom told us to come out and look . . . they were posed by it with their beers when we got out there! Can't wait to eat some of the Country Club's famous stuffed burgers off it this summer!
Vince got a haircut on Wednesday and after he was done, Grace got to have her hair braided and curled . . . she sat SUPER still and loved it. Of course when I try to do it at home, she goes sideways! KIDS!
Looking forward to this weekend celebrating Grandma DeHoog!

A couple weekends ago, Zoop, Jen and the boys spent a few nights out at the Villa in Birch Bay. It didn't work for us to get to spend the night, but we got to spend a few hours out there Saturday afternoon.
