animal update . . .

Grace is OBSESSED with animals. If it were up to me, we would never own any of the "conventional" pets that most people have . . . no dogs or cats here . . . I love animals that live outside and don't make you feel guilty for not petting them or playing with them.

Tom was doing some "pig moving" last night, so I had to go along with him and Grace to do pig chores to keep an eye on Grace. Little did we know what excitement we were in for . . . separating Mamas and babies and not letting other Mamas near the babies and a pregnant Mama getting loose and jumping on Grandpa Ted and this Mama jumping on top of hay bales to keep her baby safe. I'm staying home from pig chores for a while. :)We have sheep back at our house now . . . they've been giving Tom a run for his money. This one has been getting out and almost made it down to the highway. Grace calls them "naughty sheep". Grace told Tom to pick lots of grass to feed them . . . This little peanut has no fear of animals . . . she gets right in their face and says, "Hi baby, hi buddy, hi Piper, hi Tyne."Friday night Grace got to meet this BRAND NEW colt at Tyler's house . . . he was less than 24 hours old and adorable. She told Amanda (Tyler's wife) they should name it DJ Yance Rock (DJ Lance Rock) from Yo Gabba Gabba. And the chickens . . . 2 weeks later, all 3 are still alive . . . But not NEARLY as cute as when we first got them . . .Kissing them goodnight . . . We played outside for a long time Sunday night because it was so nice . . . This crazy girl WOULD NOT come inside and when I would try and head that way, she would scream, "COME BACK MOMMY, MOMMY COME BACK!"That picture reminded me of this one from the end of August last year . . . where did my baby go?

And a few random things for the week:

A note to family and friends: if you come to my house let it be known that you should bring your own tissues. Grace's favorite activity is to pull them all out, one by one, fake cough into them and put them back.

And a few pregnancy prayers as I head towards the last 6 weeks of cooking this sweet bun . . .

Please do not let me gain any more weight from this point on (who am I kidding?) Okay, just please don't let me weigh more than Tom.

Please help me to not slit my wrists from wearing the same two outfits over and over and over and over . . .

Please forgive me for cursing my husband for putting an empty package of cookies back into the cupboard. (You should never taunt a hungry pregnant woman.)

Bless me to drink more water and less Pepsi.

Please bless me to develop the nesting instinct so I can find the will to dig out the baby clothes, breast pump, and infant car seat.
