so much for to-do lists . . .

I had a big, long list of things I wanted to get done with these extra two days off from school . . . too bad fun kept turning up around every corner and we never got anything checked off the list.

We finally went and visited the mama pigs at their new house (Tom's Grandma and Grandpa's)

Anytime Grace can get on a tractor or lawnmower with Daddy, she is in heaven . . .

Feeding the calfies some grain . . . "Piggies tail? Piggies feet? Piggies ears? Daddy hold it, Daddy hold it, Daddy hold it, I touch it" . . . some of the things Grace was saying during these pictures . . . I love that Grace will always get to have lots of farm and animal experiences without us ever having to actually LIVE on a farm . . . After a little walk, the sun went down, it got dark and chilly and it was time to go home . . . Thursday morning I was lucky enough to call and wish our buddy Wayne a happy birthday and we got invited to McDonald's for his birthday lunch . . .

Grace LOVED the "ipes ceam". . . Grace was convinced it was Weston's "hap birthday" . . . don't tell her Dad, but she might have a little thing for that Silves boy . . . When Jen watches Grace on Monday's, she takes her and the boys to story time at the Everson Library. Since there was no school on Friday, we met up with them for story time at the Lynden Library . . . I was excited to see what all this "libry" business is about since I always miss out.

Dr. Seuss' birthday was earlier in the week (schools and libraries celebrate with lots of silly seuss-y fun), so The Cat in the Hat was AT the library!

Grace wasn't too sure about him (or all the kids) at first . . . but she slowly warmed up . . . I love how he is peeking at her in this one . . .Getting braver . . . Grace wanted to be holding the "bookies" so she wandered up front . . . After the group sang the ABC's, Grace was mixed in with all the kids and loving it . . . Still keeping an eye on him . . .At one point, Jake looked at me and said, "Hey, what are you doing at the library?" HA!

Jen and I took the kids on a couple more adventures that afternoon . . . lots more pictures, but I might try to check off a few things on my to-do list before bed, so they will have to wait.
